The traditional power system management mode does not meet the demand of the power system in the new era, and it is urgent to apply advanced technologies such as Internet of Things (IoT), cloud computing and big data technology. Ubiquitous electric IoT is a new type of power system network generated by the deep integration of traditional technology and IoT. Through the interconnection and interoperability between intellectual platform and power system equipment, the comprehensive sensing, data fusion and intelligent application are realized to meet the lean management needs of the power system and support the rapid development of the energy Internet. In this paper, the hierarchy of ubiquitous electric IoT is introduced, the application of state sensing devices and intelligent equipment is analyzed, the development prospects of ubiquitous electric IoT is explored and several key technologies for the future development is suggested.
