Modeling of an Efficient 4 to 1 Multiplexer for Quantum-Dot Cellular Automata

Saif Hannan, Mohammad Ishtiaque Khan · 2019

In CMOS technology, the challenges is to make the electronic devices chip in size is going on for last few decades but facing obstacle beyond a specific density due to quantum effects, excessive power dissipation, etc. are taking place. So, a new approach has been come out by feeling the necessity to conquer the barrier of CMOS technology is called Quantum Dot Cellular Automata with less area consumption, faster response, low power dissipation. This paper presents 4 to 1 Multiplexer intending to reduce cell count, area, propagation delay (latency) showing an improvement of 7%, 54%, 25% in cell count, area and propagation delay respectively in comparison with previous works and proposed design checked by QCADesigner.
