Facial Recognition and Imagery Analysis

This chapter discusses practical methods of facial recognition and imagery analysis used in support of the judicial system. “Imagery” is a generic term for pictures. It comprises wave fronts of reflected or emitted energy captured by a camera system and recorded by film, magnetic media, optical disk, and other media. Therefore, it embraces photographs, television, and infrared pictures, as well as radar photography.
