High-Density Salt and Pepper Noise Filter using Anisotropic Diffusion

This paper presents an approach to suppress salt- and-pepper noise. The approach that we proposed in this paper has two phases, noise interception and filtering. Firstly, pixels that have the maximum and minimum value are categorised as disturbed pixels and will be substituted with a value computed by the anisotropic diffusion approach in the next phase. Our experiments show that our approach can create better outcomes than several existing filtering approaches.
