Xueping Zhang, Faming Lu, Minghao Cui · 2019

OSEK/VDX is a set of standards for distributed real-time systems that are widely adopted by automotive electronics industries. The correctness of OSEK/VDX programs has a major impact on automotive safety and comfort. To ensure the reliability of OSEK/VDX applications, many OSEK/VDX program verification methods have been proposed. This paper makes an introduction and review of OSEK/VDX application verification method. Specifically, the following research works are reviewed: (1) the OSEK/VDX program property of common concern; (2) the commonly used verification methods toward OSEK/VDX programs, along with their advantages and limitations; (3) the main shortcomings of current methods, which is the state explosion problem existing in verification procedure. A potential solution to the bottleneck is proposed for the future work.
