A Unique Cell-based Configuration of XOR Gates in Quantum-dot Cellular Automata Nanotechnology
M.M. Abutaleb · 2019
In this paper, a unique quantum-dot cellular automata (QCA) based configuration for two-input Exclusive-OR (XOR) gate is presented. The intrinsic characteristics of the QCA computation are used over the proposed configuration to harvest the appropriate output according to Coulombic interactions among electronic charges of QCA cells. The proposed XOR gate has superb enhancements in hardware complexity and energy consumption compared to previous gates. To investigate about the effectiveness of proposed structure in designing high-level QCA circuits, even parity generators are implemented with lengths of 4 to 32 bits. The provided structures are designed without any wire-crossing technique, as well as accomplish better performance compared to their previous counterparts.
