Re-targeting User Interfaces on Stand-alone Smart Wearables
Hyoseok Yoon, Ju-Yeong Sung, Se-Ho Park · 2019
In a world of numerous smart devices, people use and interact with fragmented user interfaces daily. Inevitably, users try and adapt to seemingly different options that often require heavy workload to perform same tasks across different devices in various form factors and computation capability. We explore a research theme of user interface re-targeting applied to stand-alone smart wearables. We present working definitions and examples to discuss five factors that affect the quality of re-targeted user interfaces. Also, we discuss recent approaches and challenges surrounding these factors where applicable.
