Improvement of Fast Intra Prediction Mode Selection Algorithm for H264

In order to reduce the complexity of H264 encoding algorithm, there are many fast intra mode selection algorithms, among which PAN algorithm is a typical one. Because of the fast algorithm, the compression performance is reduced. Based on the idea of reliability and mode competition, the PAN algorithm is improved. Evaluate the reliability of the results of PAN algorithm. If the reliability of PAN algorithm is high, the result of PAN calculation is adopted. If the reliability of PAN evaluation is low, some excluded prediction models are added to the set of prediction models and recalculated, so as to realize the optimization of prediction models. The actual test shows that the performance is greatly improved with little increase in the complexity of the algorithm.
