A secret file sharing scheme with chaos based encryption

This paper proposes a secret sharing scheme with encryption using chaotic map. The scheme is demonstrated for different types of files like text, jpeg and pdf. Chaotic maps are utilized for introducing a key based deterministic randomization needed for encryption and decryption. An established (t, n) secret sharing scheme is used for generating n number of shares. Out of these n shares, the assembly of any minimum (t) number of shares leads to the recovery of the original secret file. Performance analysis of the proposed scheme is presented with the help of certain standard parameters.
