Vehicle Detection using Road Lines

In video surveillance systems the first step is motion detection. So, we can use a threshold to detect moving objects. To not change the threshold for each sequence, we propose a vehicle detection system, which automatically generates the threshold according to the road lines. To do that, several techniques must be used. Generally, we start by the generation of road lines to define our threshold, we subtract the background using the k-nearest neighbor (KNN) method. Finally, we use the calculated threshold to select moving objects.
