Integrating Hands-on Components into Database Curriculum at Undergraduate and Graduate Levels
Dan Li · 2018
Database concepts and technologies have continuously evolved in recent years and database is a highly applicable field of study. To create an effective and dynamic learning environment, we re-design the database curriculum at undergraduate and graduate levels to keep up with the current trends of development. The paper provides in-depth discussions of database curriculum in Computer Science and shows how the core topics are strongly supported by hands-on components. We also discuss the challenges we have encountered and how we use virtualization techniques to solve them.
