This manuscript presents the results obtained with an experiment carried out on studies that involve the Internet of Things (IoT), being a technology that is under development, contemplating several models and applications in residential and commercial automation solutions in the area of health and researches. A study was carried out on the use of the NodeMCU12e controller for access a network with a WiFi access point, using a data input with the Nextion touchscreen display, the data collected for registry the user access and password are recorded in the EEPROM memory in the microcontroller, for future access. This feature allows the development of different types of solutions that need to somehow access the internet for sending or receiving data. The results demonstrated the possibilities of creating a viable solution that can contribute to more complex projects, collaborating with scientific researches that use the Internet of Things as the basis of study.
