Nanoscale communication is an emerging research area which utilizes the emerging Nano devices for different applications. The Nano devices required for Nanoscale communication needs to meet several requirements such as low power, smaller area and high speed. The existing CMOS technology faces several limitations to meet these extreme requirements. Hence, researchers focus on beyond-CMOS technologies. Quantum-dot Cellular Automata is one such paradigm which promises to meet the requirements of Nanoscale communication. Comparators are indispensable blocks in communication circuits. In this paper, we propose an optimized 1-bit comparator for Quantum-dot Cellular Automata (QCA). The proposed comparator can be extended to implement any n- bit comparators. The designs are implemented and simulated using QCA Designer.
