Cache management has become one of the key issues in future generation 5G wireless communication network. The feature of high-speed mobility along with vast users of the 5G network increases complexity in cache management. Depending on the cache location and user's mobility, the handoff has become even more prevalent in the content-centric 5G network architecture. As a result, an increased number of dropping and blocking might occur hindering the desired quality of service (QoS). Keeping that in mind, in this paper we have proposed a mobility-aware handoff priority-based request admission control (RAC) policy for managing cached content requests by utilizing limited bandwidth. By reducing the dropping probability and ensuring lesser force termination of already admitted requests; our system provides a better QoS. This paper investigates the scope of the betterment of QoS by reducing the dropping probability in a mobility-aware 5G heterogeneous network (HetNet). The analytical results show better performances than the general scheme in handling the effects of user mobility.
