Mobile Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) enables substantial elevation in network lifetime besides a better network coverage. Our work proposes an algorithm based on sink mobility in a Wireless Sensor Network. The network is partitioned into several clusters and each of the cluster areas has an allocated sink that can move across the network to accumulate the occurrences of a myriad of events for further delineation. We have thus considered event-driven mobile sinks in the network that can collect and analyze data from the sensors monitoring the network. The simulation result shows energy consumption is considerably reduced throughout the network using our proposed algorithm.
