The surging mobile devices provide both opportunities and challenges for building autonomous or adhoc networks. To build these networks, the top priority is to make devices discover each other quickly. However, existing neighbor discovery protocols (NDPs) may introduce large discovery latency due to beacon collisions in multi-node networks. In this paper, we propose an anti-collision NDP to avoid beacon collisions by carrier sensing. Moreover, we reduce the discovery latency by prioritising nodes which wait for a long time and controlling active slot duration dynamically. Simulation results show that our approach avoids most beacon collisions and reduces the discovery latency by more than 40%.
