Optimally Weighted Music Estimator of Common Sinusoidal Poles from Multiple Channels

Zhenhua Zhou, Shengli Zhang, Hui Wang · 2019

In this paper, the problem of the estimation of the common sinusoidal poles from multiple channels is addressed. We conduct the estimation by the MUSIC method. To improve its accuracy, we firstly analyze the statistical property of the orthogonality error between the signal and noise subspaces. Then, we derive the Markov optimum weighting matrix. The parameters of the common poles are estimated by minimizing the weighted orthogonality error. The superiority of the proposed estimator is validated by the theoretical analysis and simulation results in comparison with other existing schemes as well as the Cramér-Rao lower bound.
