Sensor Optimal Placement Algorithm Based on Coverage Rate

Sensor placement is a basic issue in sensor network, which affects the performance and lifetime of the network. Aiming at the coverage problem which is mainly considered in sensor placement, this paper proposes an optimal placement algorithm which meets different requirements of coverage rate. It can optimize the number of sensors while guaranteeing coverage rate and lowering the costs of the network. Simulation result proves that the algorithm can maximize the coverage rate of sensor.
