IoT cybersecurity: conference tutorial

The Internet of Things is an umbrella term to describe devices in everyday use that are connected to the Internet. Devices such as web cameras, programmable thermostats and smart utility meters are considered to be components of the IoT. In the rush to innovate and provide convenience, cybersecurity of the data stored and in transit from these IoT devices has been overlooked. In this tutorial, I will present why IoT cybersecurity is critical and how to secure them by following the guiding principles of defense in depth and the A-I-C tenets.
