3D video games: no programming required
Erik Wynters · Journal of computing sciences in colleges · 2007
An approach to teaching a one-semester introductory course in making video games is described. Its focus is on designing and creating game levels and custom content for a popular commercial game. This approach can be used with computing majors, art majors, or a general audience and can be implemented with or without a programming component. It enables students to move beyond the simple demos they could create in one semester with programming alone to create a sophisticated, 3D game with modern features, roughly comparable to those they play in their spare time.
