JVMVIEWER: an interactive bytecode interpreter for Java

This paper describes an interactive implementation of a Java Virtual Machine (JVM) simulator for interpreting Java bytecodes created either from the Java compiler or from an assembler such as Jasmin. Designed for ease of use, the simulator provides students with an architecture experience through the simplicity of the JVM environment.
