Discrete math (or math in general) is an indispensable part of the computer science curriculum. However, many students feel that math and computer science are separated, or more specifically, that computer science has nothing to do with math and vice versa. The intention of this assignment is to correct this misconception by letting students investigate the relation and the mutual benefits between memory bits (a computer science notion) and power sets (a math notion).
