Quantum ultra-walks: Walks on a line with hierarchical spatial heterogeneity

The author adapts the classical model of a walk through an ultrametric hierarchy of barriers to study the impact of spatially heterogeneous coins on the spreading dynamics of the quantum walk, asymptotically exact with the renormalization group.
