Entanglement swapping of Bell states and a special class of Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger states

We review and consider the entanglement swapping between two Bell states proposed by Zukowski et al. [Phys. Rev. Lett. 71(26) 4287]. We introduce a special class of Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger states and consider the entanglement swapping between them. The usefulness of the proposed entanglement swapping schemes in quantum cryptography is illustrated.
