Blockchain technology options in town and country planning

Town and country planning documentation can be defined as a static database of plots on which layers such as functional areas, height of built-up area, floor area index or built-up area index are applied.Changing and updating this database is a process which takes several years.This paper deals with the new technology blockchain.Updating a blockchain database is based on a decentralized and shared peer-to-peer network.The inductive and qualitative research method maps the possibilities for the use of this technology within the town and country planning system.
