Because of the continuous increase of software complexity, software managers more emphasize the total evaluation of software quality now many computer scientists and software quality metrics has been developed as a very useful technique. There are many software quality evaluation tools which use SQM technique in America and Japan etc. These tools are widely used in software development management and acceptance. In this paper, we present an over view of software quality metrics models of Boehm and McCall and the application of SQM technique.
