A mobile edge computing (MEC) server-based scheme is proposed and experiment in this paper in order to support the network edge-based video adaptation on MPEG-DASH. Furthermore, emphasize of the paper is to understand the challenges of UHD 4K video conference on 5G network that business organizations and individual organizations are facing. A proposed model based on MEC server and Caching replacement strategy is designed and implemented. To facilitate the fast video streaming and video conferencing through MEC server and DASH video adaptation it is needed to cache the popular content segments on MEC server to enhance the performance and streaming of this content via caching replacement strategy. A two-facet model and QoE algorithm is made to make the decision of caching and replacement based on popularity. By caching the content on time and using powerful 5G networks with more bandwidth the performance of UHD 4K video conference and video streaming can be enhanced.
