Error Control for Compressed Sensing Transmission with Polar Codes

Compressed sensing is a developing technique with superior compression performances. Because compressed signals are vulnerable to channel errors during transmission, protection schemes may be applied beforehand. We apply the polar codes for the protection of compressed sensing coefficients over the binary symmetric channels. Simulations have presented the effectiveness and enhancement of applying polar codes with its error control capabilities. Induced errors from lossy transmission can be alleviated, which leads to the effective protection of compressed sensing signals.
