Application of Sparse Representation to Beamforming for Direction of Arrival Estimation
Jacob Compaleo, Inder Jiti Gupta · 2019
A new technique for high-resolution direction of arrival estimation is presented. The method utilizes the traditional beamforming approach and sparse representation to locate signals in single and multiple emitter scenarios. An example is provided where two emitters are spaced 60 degrees apart and then brought closer together, with the performance of the beamforming approach and new approach compared.
