In the current era of smart consumer electronics (CE) devices and Internet of Things (Iot)-based systems, successful operation of the devices needs support from software systems. The amount of software in CE is increasing from the last decade. Reliability is one of the major criteria to ensure the quality of these products. Among various reliability prediction models, failure modeling-based software reliability prediction for component-based software systems has been a well-known research area in the past few decades.
