the author has introduced the theory of the semi-equivalence and themethod of its classification in pansystem. Based on the method，he has built the system of the semi-equivalent classification，which can be used for studying ecology. As a example of application in ecology·the system have been applied to class the plant communities in Jinyun Mountain in Sichuan Province，China.
