Extension Knowledge on the Correlation of Managed Objects for Unified Management of SDN and non-SDN
Hui Xu, Hongwei Chen · 2019
Software-Defined Networking (SDN) offers a promising solution for future networks. However, both SDN management and non-SDN management still co-exist. As for unified management of SDN and non-SDN, the correlation of Managed Objects (MOs) means implicit knowledge for network management. This paper then proposes a formal approach of extension knowledge representing the correlation of MOs for unified management of SDN and non-SDN. The feasibility of proposed approach is validated in two scenarios of both manager-initiated interactions and agent-initiated interactions, so as to explore implicit knowledge on the correlation of MOs by means of extension in a more comprehensive manner.
