Using identity based signatures, we propose a verifiable secret sharing scheme, that uses participants' identities in this scheme. The main advantages of the proposed scheme is that it uses signature scheme based on identities and also it uses hash functions for the verifiability of the shares as well as the reconstructed secret. It checks the honestness of either dealer or participant, which means that the dealer intentionally/unintentionally distributes a currupted/fake share to a participant and/or a participant may intentionally/unintentionally send a fake share to the reconstructor in reconstruction. Our proposed scheme efficiently works to resist the dealer's and/or participants' cheating behaviour.
