Chapter 14 provides an introduction and overview of the systems integration and test state, explaining system integration, system test planning, system testing, testing in the SDP and SLC and test and evaluation (T&E). The chapter also examines independent verification and validation (IV&V) and suggests changes in the structure of the development and IV&V contracts.
