Like any other aspect of SQL Server, most of the time, you can simply turn Query Store on and then not worry about it. However, like any other aspect of SQL Server, things can go wrong. There are two tools that you can use to understand what is happening with Query Store on your database are Query Store specific wait statistics and Extended Events for Query Store. This chapter will look at some common problems that can arise with Query Store and how you can use the tools provided in order to ensure that Query Store is working well on your systesms.
