APPLICATION OF FRACTALS THEORY TO PD PATTERN RECONGNITION FOR POWER EQUIPMENT

The application of fractals to extracting the feature of the partial discharge(PD)is described. This method,when combined with wavelet and neural network, is able to advance the effectiveness and exactness of PD recognition. The prospective development of fractals in PD recognition is presented, with an emphasis on cutting down the amount of the feature.
