Design and Implementation of HEFEI Grid Portal

Grid and P2P are emerging technologies to achieve efficient resource sharing. The Grid Portal is a special tool to improve the usability as well as efficiency of Grid and P2P resources. The architecture design of Web Service based Grid Portal with Portlet Schema is described in this paper, with related prototype implementation. This schema supports the merging of Grid and P2P, and has been deployed on two applications of Biology and Chemistry in our Grid Environment. All the above works verified the Grid Portal's validity, as expected in our design.
