Analysis of Effects of Earthquake and Active Fault on Qinghai-tibet Railway

Qinghai-Tibet Railway is the highest railway on the world. Along the railway, earthquake and active fault frequently occur, seriously affect the construction safety and safe running of the train and increase the maintenance cost. Conditions of earthquake and active fault outbreak along the railway are described, and their hazardous effects on Qinghai-Tibet railway analyzed. The problems in design and construction need to be considered are mentioned.
