2. Getting Started with imfil.m

In this chapter we give a brief description of what imfil.m does, how to install it, and what the computing environment should be. We will illustrate its use for two simple problems. We do not describe all the options, the details of the algorithms, or the ways to extend the code on your own. We will do that in the later chapters.
