Design of a DDoS Detection Model Based on K-means Cluster Algorithm and Apriori Association Algorithm

Distributed denial of service(DDoS) attacks are major threats to availability of computer network.This paper analyzes the essential characteristics of DDoS attacks and build a detection model base on data mining algorithm.Cluster algorithm and Association algorithm used to extracts network traffic model and packet connection status model.The threshold is set for detecting attacks.Experimental result shows that DDoS attacks can be detected efficiently and swiftly.
