Movement control of two-wheeled mobile robots by image processing

Takuro Chiba, Atsushi Okuyama · The Proceedings of Conference of Kanto Branch · 2019

Swarm robotics is a new approach to cooperation of multiple robot systems consisting of a large number of relatively simple robots, and has received much attention in recent years. Swarm robots that make multiple units cooperate are expected to be useful in disaster sites where people cannot go. In this research, we focus on two-wheeled mobile robots with nonholonomic constraints. The coordinates of the two-wheeled mobile robot are acquired by processing the image from the web camera. The purpose of this research is to realize formation control by applying virtual robot tracking control. The validity of the proposed control method is demonstrated through experiment.
