Subliminal Channels in the Code-based Ring Signature Scheme
Bingsen Wang, Zhuoran Zhang, Fangguo Zhang · 2019
Subliminal channels in the ring signature scheme enable a certain signer on the ring to send messages to one or more specified recipients through a ring signature. Since both the identity of the actual signer and the subliminal message itself are protected and unnoticeable, subliminal channels have important application value in scenarios where steganography is required. In this paper, we construct subliminal channels in the code-based ring signature scheme for the first time. Just as the code-based ring signature scheme, our subliminal channels are also immune to the attacks of currently known quantum algorithms. In our proposed subliminal channels, the designated receiver does not have to share the signer's private key but could know or has advantage to guess the identity of the actual signer.
