MBA: A New Cluster Based Bandwidth and Power Aware Mapping for 2D NoC

Due to a continuous scaling in very large scale integrated circuits (VLSI) design, Network-on-Chip (NoC) is become one of the emerging research areas and several research problems that need to be addressed. In this paper, we propose a modified bat algorithm (MBA) for successful cluster based bandwidth and power aware mapping method for 2D NoC. Further, the performance and efficiency of proposed method is verified through the comparative study with existing bio inspired algorithm. The proposed method is validated through the number of experiments conducted with different types of standard benchmarks in NoC with mesh topology.
