The Lustre language has been used to develop many industrial systems, such as nuclear reactors, civil aircraft, automobile vehicles... These systems require a very high quality. Faults in such systems can cause serious problems. Testing activities for fault detection play a very crucial role. The main objective of testing is to find faults, while mutation testing is the most effective technique in evaluating the capability of fault detection of test data. However, mutation testing has some drawbacks, such as big number of mutants, mutants reflecting real faults, equivalent mutant problem. Many studies were proposed to solve these problems, higher order mutation is the only one can address these three main problems. In this paper, we present our solution to applying higher order mutation to Lustre programs. A set of operators was identified for the Lustre language by basing upon the characteristics. The DifferrentOperators algorithm was used to generate higher order mutants. The generator was also implemented to automate mutant creation. The solution was experimented on some case studies.
