Privacy-Preserving Cloud-IoT Architecture (Abstract)

We propose the concept of Data Bank, which is a cloud-IoT architecture, as a guideline to service providers. The proposed framework aims to protect users' sensitive data by allowing users to control the data transmitted by their devices, and provides support for agreement visualisation and privacy-utility trade-off tools. It consists of several layers, from IoT objects in the lower layer to web and mobile applications in the top layer, with regulated communication mechanisms to transfer data from the lower level to data processing services in the top level.
