More effective process development is one of key factors, identified during history, to companies' perpetuity, making them more market competitive. In the last decades, industries looked for computer tools to develop and improve their manufacturing process. In this context, Augmented Reality became target to new studies and industrial applications development. In contrast, its usage in this environment is not a common practice. To understand this behavior the present paper propose a literature review in order to identify this technology application in industrial environment. It was identified the Augmented Reality target industrial segments, its applicability and discussed post-implementation gains and limitations.
