In wireless sensor network WSN, collected data at sensor nodes are usually transmitted toward a static sink node. There nodes close to sink are always forced to transmit more data and/or more often and thus might first dry out energy in WSN Such critical situation is issued as a hotspot problem. In order to mitigate hotspots, WSN with mobile sink has been researched as a model termed mWSN In the paper, we restrict the structure of mWSN to grid graph and let a single sink move around node to node. As such sink mobility pattern, we define three types M S and Q and numerically compare their consumed energy, latency and distance. As a result, about total consumed energy and latency, those three types are the same. On the other hand, about distance, S-type is shown to be superior.
