Research on Congestion Control Algorithms for Real-time Audio and Video Stream

Aimed at the problem of poor transmission reliability and the lack of congestion control mechanism in UDP instant messaging field, a series of simulations and experiments are conducted to study the Google congestion control algorithm issued by the IETF WebRTC project group. This paper proposes a congestion control algorithm based on the arrival delay of received packets, estimating the network queuing delay, and calculating the current congestion status of the network based on the packet loss ratio. The experiment focuses on the analysis of bit rate changes during the competing with other flows for the bandwidth channel and the minimum enqueuing delay.
