Supercomputers are an important tool for researchers. These systems are needed by scientists to conduct experiments that would not be possible by normal desktop systems. Researchers across varying disciplines utilize these resources, from materials research, astronomical sciences, physics, biochemistry, and more. It is beneficial to the individuals who manage these High-Performance Computing(HPC) resources to have a sense of what types of research is being done on their systems.
