Experiment Platform Design of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and Research on Cooperative Autonomous Search Approach

Huadong Luo, Hai-Feng Ling, Guangna Zhang, Tao Zhu · 2018

In any target area with relatively small height difference, the intelligent system in this paper can segment the target area and cooperate with multiple unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to realize autonomous search, image perception, target discrimination and precision strike. The system can realize accurate identification and autonomous strike in designated areas. The system is composed of quadrotor UAVs carrying functional modules. The communication modules in the system can connect with each other and fly autonomously according to the coordinates of the target area. At the same time, the targets can be accurately identified according to their color difference, and the interference targets can be eliminated through the matrix operations of the target image. Meanwhile, the precise coordinates of the targets can be measured. Finally, the precise strike can be implemented. Experiments show that the platform can search, identify, locate and strike static targets precisely within a specified range.
